Be praying for your friends- Dear one, we have no greater or finer (or more costly!) gift to give both our family and friends than to pray for them—faithfully, frequently, and fervently. Everyone struggles, and everyone faces trials and encounters crises. And we can be sure there are issues in our friends' lives that will never be shared with us. We'll never know all the battles that are being fought in another person's life. So, we pray.

 

And for what do we pray? Pray for your friends' spiritual growth, for their schoolwork, for their responsibilities and relationships at home with the

members of their families for their involvement at church. And pray for others to come alongside them and encourage them, too. I especially love it when someone tells me exactly what they are praying for me. So be specific about what you are praying for them. And share specific Bible verses that you think will encourage them. You never know when the verse you share just might be the perfect "word that sustains the weary" and strengthens your friend to get through a tough day (Isaiah 50:4). And you never know when you just might be the true friend whose faithful, frequent, and fervent prayers help another to excel in greatness...or make it through a difficult life! So, dear friend, pray for your friends!
